The Ball
Ink on paper
$5000.00
The Ball takes place in a grand room filled with unlikely guests, gathered as if for a formal celebration. At the center, a dancing pair draws the eye, anchoring the scene while the rest of the room comes alive around them. Insects take on human roles—moving, watching, waiting—each figure adding to the rhythm of the space.
Beyond the dancers, small moments unfold throughout the room. Some figures participate, others observe from a distance, and a few seem content simply to be there. The drawing rewards time and attention, inviting the viewer to slow down, look closely, and enjoy the details as the scene reveals itself little by little.
